About the Area
Chocolate Lake is located in the community of Armdale, Nova Scotia, within the city of Halifax. It is situated in a beautiful, forested neighborhood surrounded by private homes. The nearby city-operated beach is a popular family swimming spot in the summertime. The Lake takes its name from a chocolate factory that, for a short time in the early 1900’s, operated on the shore of the lake. The Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake opened in October 2007.
